Sanath Jayasuriya continued his dismal form as his side Worcestershire’s string of losses extended in the Friends Provident t20 due to sixth successive defeat on Tuesday against Yorkshire at Headingley, Leeds.
Jayasuriya playing his third match of the season for the county, made 10 off nine balls as his side chased a formidable 213 for 7 piled up by their opponents.
He was dismissed in the fifth over as Worcs slumped to 27 for 3. They never really managed to put up a fight before finally were folded up for 109 handing Yorkshire a massive 104 run win.
In his two previous innings for the country this season, Jayasuriya scored only nine off 12 balls against Derbyshire and two off three balls against Warwickshire.
