Floating hotel in Sri Lanka soon

The Wayamba Development Authority is planning to build a floating hotel on the Kalagaswewa tank, Pangolla in the Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat division.

The project has been planned by Plantation Industries Deputy Minister Salinda Dissanayake. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 10 million.

“This tank is situated on the Kurunegala-Dambulla main road, local and foreign tourists travel along this road daily to reach the North and East. When this floating hotel is built, it will be a popular place among the tourists,” Dissanayake said.

“We have also planned to put up a large number of trade stalls on either side of the road to enable residents to sell their fruits and handicrafts to the tourists. The tank has already been dredged,” the Deputy Minister, said. from dailynews
